Area Attraction information (including water parks and museums of questionable medical devices and more fun for the whole family)

The prairie is indeed beautiful, but be on the look out for lots and lots of wood ticks. You'll know they're nearby when you see and/or hear the horde of mosquitoes.

Also, water parks. Everyone loves a good water park.

Also, The Museum of Questionable Medical Device. Unless the Feds have shut it down.

I once wondered over to the zoo here, I think when Tara was in college, and saw a couple of wild mountain gorillas get in a fight! Now THAT'S entertainment! (Please note that no mountain gorillas were actually harmed during that fight. As far as I know. But on the other hand, what am I? A vetrinarian? I'm not even a vegetarian ...)

(In case you want to hit on some goth chicks. Don't look at me though. I'm getting married. I don't hit on goth chicks. Any more.)
(Okay, to be fair, I don't know with 100% certainty that the Minneapolis Instituate of Art will be swarming with Goth chicks in late June. I am relying on my gut instinct and stereotypes here. Maybe Channing can help us out. He used to be all into the goth scene, I hear. Channing?)

  • Jesser & Luis -Ushers, Harley's Other Nephews (yes, grandma & grandpa expect us to have girl babies) &  all around handsome, upstanding young men from Nicaragua (Sadly, Jesser has exams and for some STRANGE reason, he thinks book learnin' is important, so he won't be able to make it *boo-hoo!*)
  • Char & Harry -Parents of the Groom (Nina's DOFM&FiL)
  • Edith -Mother of the Bride (Harley's DOFMiL)
  • Rich Lehrer -Graduate Advisor to the Bride & stand in father (as he can't wait to "give" the bride away (guess 8 years of trouble has been enough for him...))

  • Peter Goodwin - Photographer, Father to Jane (see above) & Nina's other favorite next door neighbor along with Margaret (Peter's wife & Jane's mother)
  • Rya Ehle - Wedding Party's Hair Stylist, Singer/Songwriter, and friend of the bride...(a sweet Northern Minnesota girl who migrated to Nashville and served as a connection to home for the bride while she lived in Nashville
  • Janet Roberts -Wedding Coordinator & person who keeps the Bride sane and grounded (and wife to Keith, the southern preacher man)
  • Tara Jebens-Singh -Chief cook & bottle washer (or is that RJ?!)

We know we're missing someone... please forgive us for this oversight.
It doesn't mean we don't love you, it just means we are old & a bit overwhelmed by all this wedding stuff.

Be Ready at 12 o'clock

Actual inscription from Nina Knapp's sophomore year high school yearbook:

Be Ready at 12 o'clock, originally uploaded by Harley_J.

Nina - You are a nice looking person and you are a nice person too. It has been fun having you in biology and band.

Take care over the summer, and if you're lucky I'll come over to your house and throw a rock through the window and we can go off and elope together, and honeymoon in Niagra Falls.

See you later.

Be ready at 12 o'clock.

Harley"
